Are leather briefcases and attache cases the way out? It looks like?

With all the backpacks I see. I still use an old fashion briefcase to get books, classical music cds and movies from the library. What do you think?

Backpacks are for school, though messenger bags are becoming popular.
Briefcases and attache cases are generally only used by professionals (accountants, insurance agents, etc.)
