Can your laptop overheat if you shutdown your laptop and then quickly put it in the briefcase and zip it?
Can you answer Ddp's question about briefcases?:
Or does it only overheat if you have it on, and put it in it's briefcase?

im guessing it would overheat cuz my old laptop used 2 feal like it was burning up out freely so don't try it or u might need a new laptop.
Once a laptop is closed (and I don't see why you should put it in it's case before shutting off) it'll go into idle mode so it won't heat up. the thing that really gets hot is your transformer. I do suggest you let that cool a little before you put it in your case. i live in a hot country (hitting104 degrees today) and my laptop is on for hours - just don't put your laptop on a bed for instance - make sure the ventilation grid is exposed - that means use it on a flat surface.
Wintertime is the problem. You have to let the laptop cool down before putting it in it's case because of the danger of condensation. Condensation is it's worst enemy. Keeping that in mind you shouldn't have any problems.
Buddy ensure that in your power management you make the lappy to sleep/hibernate/shutdown when you close the lid. This will ensure that battery power is no more used and the system goes idle.
